Coaches & Managers

This page will hopefully provide you with the information you need to get started with USA Softball.  There are a lot of rumors out there that playing with us is hard to do and we require a lot of "extra" steps.  Those rumors are simply not true.

We do require background checks for coaches as part of a nation wide effort to help protect the young ladies playing our events, but as far as playing local weekend tournaments, it simply couldn't be easier.

One of the first pages you should visit on our site is the "Team Central" page.  It will explain how to sanction, provide a USA Softball roster which you can download, and explain our local rules.

Next, you will want to join our SportsNgin network.   It is as simple as can be and couldn't be any easier.  All you need to do, if you haven't already, is create a SportsNgin account by clicking the link at the top of the page.  Once your account is created, you can then request to "become a member".  At this current time, there is no approval process in place and your membership is instant.

The benefit of becoming a member is that you'll be able to link your team to your account, register for events online, post on our message board, create a team page that you can tie to the mobile app, and more.

We have some of the lowest tournament entry fees in the eastern part of NC with 4GG tournaments in Kinston at only $150 and 4GG tournaments in Oxford at only $225.  In addition, many of our events offer a Bownet prize package (awarded by blind draw).  To be eligible for Bownet prize drawings, teams must be one of the first ones to enter the tournament.  Exact details for eligibility our listed in the tournaments details section.

We have also just began our 8U program and are offering 8U teams the opportunity to play at the ECU stadium.

One of the essential functions of coaches and team managers is to manage team communications with players and their families.  If you are a coach or team manager, SportsEngine has created a Team Management Guide for Coaches and Team Managers to help you use our website and mobile app to efficiently and effectively communicate and manage your teams.

One of the best items is the ability to create your team's website right here.  You can also use Game Changer to sync your teams stats right here, create e-mail and text notifications, and more.  To get started, just email us and let us know you want a team page.  We will create the page, then give you permissions to access and edit, and turn it over to you.

To view all comments, please go to the Message Board page under Team Central.
